As President of Midland GIS Solutions, Mr. Teale oversees all aspects of corporate management, including business development, client negotiations, project planning and management, public hearings, coordination with governmental agencies, and project design oversight. He holds the definitive project and resource management role for all projects taken on by the firm.

A Professional Land Surveyor in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska, Mr. Teale’s career has encompassed a variety of land survey disciplines including boundary, construction, ALTA, topographic and GPS control. Mr. Teale’s tenured experience and commitment to professionalism has positioned him as one of the most respected land surveying authorities in the Midwest. In 2006, Mr. Teale was appointed to the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Surveyors and Landscape Architects. Mr. Teale is also a member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors.

As Partner of Midland GIS Solutions, Mr. Hayes brings over 25 years of surveying and mapping experience to the firm. To ensure that all base map development is accurate and completed to high standards, Mr. Hayes manages survey techniques and protocols for base mapping. He administers GPS field surveys for GIS applications, administers survey research protocols for GIS base mapping standards, and coordinates infrastructure locations with municipalities and utility companies.

Mr. Hayes is currently President of affiliate company, Midland Surveying, Inc., and is the County Surveyor for Nodaway and Buchanan counties in Missouri. He is a Professional Land Surveyor in Missouri, Iowa and Kansas, and is a member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors. Mr. Hayes provides Midland GIS Solutions with an exceptional and unique knowledge in surveying disciplines to create more accurate and functional GIS mapping programs for our clients.

Matt Sorensen, Vice President

Matt Sorensen is Vice President of Midland GIS Solutions. Matt has been the project manager for numerous county, municipal, and utility GIS mapping programs. In addition to overseeing the daily operations of Midland GIS Solutions, Matt provides GIS project requirements analysis, contract administration, client development, and quality control. He also provides presentations to prospective clients and attends county and state conferences throughout the Midwest.

As Operations Manager of Midland GIS Solutions, Kirk brings a distinctive blend of municipal, county, and consulting experience that is unique to the GIS industry. In addition to overseeing daily operations and production, Kirk is involved with client development, project management, enterprise GIS development and implementation, and workflow studies.

With several years of surveying and GPS experience, Kirk has also contributed to the development of custom GPS applications. Kirk developed a nationally recognized Enterprise Wide GIS program for the growing county of Sarpy County, Nebraska where he served as GIS Coordinator from 2002 to 2005.

As Marketing Director of Midland GIS Solutions, Katie’s responsibilities include overseeing all company advertising and marketing, designing promotional material, and organizing and attending conferences and exhibiting activities. Katie also assists with the company’s web site design, prepares special mailings and news releases, and organizes special company events.

Ryan Schieber is a Senior GIS Specialist at Midland GIS Solutions. As a member of the Midland team since 2001, Ryan brings experience and proficiency to the technological aspects of GIS. He manages the geodatabase design and development process, assists with quality control procedures, and provides technical support for clients. Ryan’s responsibilities also include creating customized GIS applications and providing GIS training to clients during final GIS installation to ensure the GIS will be a successful tool for the client well into the future.

As a GIS Specialist and the Web Administrator for Midland GIS Solutions, Tylor brings a multi-dimensional aspect of many different programs and applications to the firm including GIS, programming, web site design, and customizing applications. Tylor hosts the Midland GIS Solutions web site, and also designs and implements Web GIS sites for county and municipal GIS projects. Tylor utilizes his computer science and interactive digital media background to implement new and innovative ideas for current and future clients.

A member of the Midland team since 2004, Ethan brings a variety of GPS field technician skills and GIS experience to the firm. Ethan is a GPS field technician for municipal GIS mapping programs and assists with the development of customized GPS applications. As Project Supervisor, Ethan manages all municipal GIS projects and oversees the daily work of GIS technicians. Ethan’s responsibilities also include creating and updating geodatabases, implementing feature class data layers into a geodatabase, assisting with quality control procedures, and GIS data conversion.

Jill Kloppenberg is a Project Supervisor and GIS technician for Midland GIS Solutions. As a Project Supervisor, Jill manages all county GIS projects and oversees the daily work of GIS technicians. Jill’s GIS responsibilities include conventional cadastral mapping, GIS development and technical implementation for county and municipal projects, GIS data conversion, and research and interpretation of recorded plats and utility maps.
